Outgoing chairman Lord Terrance Devonport (front) with Project Genesis trustees at Steel House in Consett.
As a charity, the Trust is led by a Board of Trustees which includes councillors nominated by Durham County Council.
Since its inception, the Chair of the Board has been the Rt Hon Terence the Viscount Devonport who recently retried chairmanship.
The Trustees meet periodically to decide on development opportunities for the site and consider support to local charities and organisations. They manage the Trust’s finances to ensure that the value of any development work carried out on the site is retained for the benefit of the community in the future.
