Go North East Bus Depot Opens in Consett

Project Genesis has delivered a new bus depot for Go North East (part of the Go Ahead Group) on the Hownsgill Industrial Park helping to create an extra 20 jobs in Consett. The depot will be the centre of Go Ahead’s operation in north west Durham showing a massive commitment to Consett and the area by Go Ahead.

Project Genesis Grant Donations 2018 – During last year, the Trust distributed £15,000 in small grants to local organisations, to support community activities and projects. We intend to run a similar programme of grant donations on an annual basis.

Cycle Path Improvements

Cycle Path Improvements – Work is continuing on a range of environmental and leisure improvements to follow on from the opening of Fawcett Park. The Sea 2 Sea cycle path is currently being updated across the Genesis site, between the Blackhill Comrades Club and the A692.
