Project Genesis – Regeneration for the Future

Project Genesis was formed after the closure of the Steel Works with one aim:  to benefit the devastated local community. By developing the redundant land, the Trust has totally changed the landscape (for the better!), facilitated 200 million pounds worth of development and created hundreds of jobs for local people.

Look around; you’ll see the new superstore, shops, parks and offices. But the work is not complete and the Trust is committed to its mission, to ensure the development of the 700-acre site benefits everyone, providing better local amenities, more jobs and a green environment of which we can all be proud.
